The sales prospecting industry is fast becoming a booming market. With the rapid advancement of technology over the years, there are more and more ways to get in touch with prospective clientele.

First things first, you’ll need to drill down on your Ideal Customer Profile. Who are the people most likely to buy from you? What are their job titles? What industry are they in? What demographic are they located? Write a list of you Ideal Customer Profile – there is likely to be more than one!



Now you have your ICP, it’s time to start finding their email addresses. To do this, we first need to prospect them. utilises a wonderful tool that you may have heard of: LinkedIn. LinkedIn is by far one of the most self-cleansing platforms out there. Their Advanced People Search allows you thorough targeting of your prospects, which is incredibly important when it comes to winning new customers and clients. simply sit’s over the top of your LinkedIn profile, and places ‘Add Prospect’ buttons next to each person listed. We also have a handy little drop down feature which allows you to add prospects page by page (for you impatient lot). The only downside to LinkedIn’s Advanced People Search is that is limits you to only 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree connections.

Through the utilisation of the Chrome extension, you bypass the limitation that LinkedIn attaches to your searches, so you can truly mop up your Ideal Customer Profile spectrum.



As discussed above, it is highly likely that you are going to have more than one particular Ideal Customer Profile. Tagging allows you to segment all of your prospects within the system, meaning they aren’t all jumbled together in your dashboard. This sounds like a simple feature, but wow is it useful! Be sure to utilise tagging from day 1. This will help you maintain absolute structure to your whole sales process.


Finding Emails

Now we’ve prospected a bunch of possible customers and clients, the next thing we need to do it find their professional email address. This is the easiest part of the whole process.
